Writing From Memory

So..tonight's the night that Caroline Smailes and I are running a workshop at Middlesbrough Literary Festival....I'll put the details from the brochure below...but basically we'll be having some fun and giving out chocolate and along the way we'll cover some writing exercises on creating character and structure and writing from memory.
I'm really looking forward to it.....Here's the details...I hope people turn up....I've done handouts and everything!

Would you like to write a novel, but don’t know where to start? Would you like some tips on how to edit and improve your writing? Caroline Smailes and Rosalind Wyllie will lead a friendly discussion, showing how writers can use their own memories to produce plots and tales. After offering their top tips on self editing and on the mentoring relationship, Caroline and Rosalind will lead a writing workshop on how to use memory as a creative springboard, and how to make the most of what you have written.
