Paper Fortunes #5
27th August, 2011
So no sooner had I blogged that I was proud of the play...life chucks a custard pie at me.
What's On Stage reviewed Paper Fortunes last Thursday evening @ Canal Cafe and this is what their reviewer Louise Gooding had to say on the subject.
I'm okay with her not liking the play. But I do get cross when reviewers reveal too much plot...and think that even though she may well be right that the play has flaws...she could have mentioned that the direction is inspired and the cast are brilliant.
Because they are. Fact.
I just hope it doesn't put audiences off coming and seieng the play - because August is a hard enough month anyway and actually our play is pretty good fun.
So there.
Anyway.
You can't please all the people all the time huh!
And at least it will might make some people happy.
There is after all, no sweeter sound than the crumbling of your fellow man.
