Blood & Money - It's over!

11th June, 2010

Hello

So...what's new?

Well we finished our run in Prague.  Who would have guessed that four shows could take such a huge amount of energy.

I've done nothing but sleep and feel snotty and ill since we came back.  People keep telling me that it's a normal thing...that once the adrenelin goes then you kind of deflate. And I do feel like an old balloon with all the air gone out of it.....poor me...

But all in all everything went so much better than we could have hoped.  We had audiences every day - including one afternoon where we were full to capacity!!!

We have a review for our endeavours here...which although not entirely glowing on all points does say that our double bill was 'a highlight of the fringe.'  So we can't really complain too much about that.

And for my Money (see what I did there) Considering it was our first venture as producers and for Degna her first dibs as a director - we did pretty well. Taking into consideration all the obstacles in our way. Not least the financial considerations of getting six people to Prague during at BA strike!! Blood & Money wasn't perfect - but you know - good enough to feel proud with a little room to grow.

And I do want to thank Jill Dellow, Faye Greenwell and Mat Hobbins for their stellar work on the scripts and their fabulous performances.  I really enjoyed watching them bring both plays to life....belters!

The Prague Fringe is such a brilliant experience and so I would recommend it to any of you. And also want to thank Carole Wears, Steve Gove and all for making the week so exciting and fun.

I am going to hibernate behind my keyboard for a few weeks now. After all the excitement and people and Staropramen and whooping, I feel the need to dig a hole and climb into it.

Also, I do need to get on with some actual writing kind of urgently...

Be happy people.
