A new Rascally Project
28th July, 2011
Here's some news of a project that me and those Scoundrels are working on....
+1 a work-in-progress by Rascally Scoundrels Amy has packed her job in and given notice on her flat. She’s leaving. But nobody seems quite sure where she’s going. Or indeed, where she is. Because she hasn’t turned up to the surprise farewell party thrown by her new boyfriend. As the +1’s of the party guests try to work out where she might be they find themselves piecing together a picture of Amy using second-hand tit-bits and overheard gossip …
ARC Stockton are supporting the development of +1 by giving us space and time to work on the piece.
We are looking for actors to come and workshop ideas with us at ARC on Monday 15 August. Plus availability on Thursday 18 and Friday 19 August to be potentially called back for some further work and development.
There will be a short, work in progress showback performance at ARC on Wednesday 7 September.
There is a small daily fee available, plus travel expenses within the region. REQUIREMENTS: Male and female actors needed. Ages 20-35 (but there is flexibility)Ideally some experience in workshopping new writing and improvisation If you would be interested, please send your CV and headshot to rascallyscoundrels@gmail.com by Fri 5 August. ABOUT:
Rascally Scoundrels are North-East theatre practitioners Rosalind Wyllie, Degna Stone and Alison Carr. Founded in 2009, the trio’s first collaboration was BLOOD & MONEY that was developed with performances across the region before heading to the Prague Fringe Festival (“a high point of this year’s Fringe” – expats.cz). They followed this up by producing Wyllie’s short play TRUST at the National Ovation Awards, winning Best New Writing. For more information please visit www.rascallyscoundrels.co.uk
